Allow Camera access in iOS Settings, then return to LumiMirror and retry. Another app using the camera or a system interruption may temporarily prevent preview. Camera access is required for the live mirror.

Start with Screen brightness, then adjust Base white light. Color light has its own intensity control and neutral, warm, cool or custom color choices. Illumination depends on display output, distance and ambient light; bringing the phone closer also changes framing and perspective.

The main preview supports 1–5× digital zoom and position controls. The 4:5 preview may crop the top or sides of your head. The optional 2–6× detail window lets you inspect a close-up alongside the main view. Digital zoom does not create additional image detail.

The top-right and Tools lock controls share one state. The lock prevents accidental lighting changes. Supported cameras also lock exposure and white balance after the hardware confirms the change. Unlock before adjusting light. Backgrounding, camera interruption or photo review releases the temporary camera lock. Locking does not calibrate color.

Freeze is a still image for inspection. Resume live preview before continuing makeup so you can see current movement.

Saving requires permission to add photos, but not permission to read your existing library. Allow photo-add access in iOS Settings and check available storage, then retry from review. Denying photo-add permission does not prevent live mirror use.

Preview zoom and review zoom are viewing aids. Save and Share use the full source photo in your chosen Mirrored or Unmirrored direction. Light rings, guides and the detail window are not drawn into the exported photo. This is not a RAW export.

The light tones are for visual comparison, not calibrated reference lighting. Display characteristics, distance, skin tone, surrounding light and system camera processing affect appearance. LumiMirror does not provide skin measurement, shade matching, virtual makeup, face reshaping or beauty filters.

The current app processes camera images on your device and has no automatic photo-upload service. You decide whether to save or open the system share sheet. Photos syncing, backups and the services you share with follow their own settings and policies.

Lighting, zoom, guides, photo direction and named presets are stored locally. You can keep up to three presets. Presets do not restore absolute screen brightness, a frozen image or a temporary camera lock.

No. It clears only a local LumiMirror diagnostic record. It does not delete Photos items, presets or copies you have already exported. Development battery-recording entry points are hidden in Release builds.

Use iOS accessibility settings. LumiMirror includes text scaling, spoken control labels and sliders as alternatives to position gestures. If a task is difficult or a label is unclear, tell us the page, language and accessibility setting. Final accessibility acceptance is still in progress.

The camera and illuminated display use power during live preview. Reduce screen brightness or lighting intensity when suitable. A wired endurance test does not establish unplugged battery life. If iOS shows a temperature warning, stop using the camera and follow the system guidance.
